Introduction

BestBefore Tracker is a pantry and food inventory tracking application. This policy explains how the app handles data, including the Support and Privacy links available from the More tab.

Data storage

BestBefore Tracker stores inventory data locally on your device. This includes pantry items, quantities, expiry dates, storage names, app preferences, and photos you choose to keep in the app.

The app does not require account creation and does not use its own remote backend to store your pantry data.

Third-party services

The app may use Google AdMob to display advertisements. Those services may process device and advertising-related information under their own privacy terms.

On iOS, BestBefore requests permission through App Tracking Transparency before allowing tracking for personalized advertising. If permission is denied, the app should not use tracking for personalized ads. In supported regions, you can also review ad privacy choices from More > Ad privacy choices.

Permissions

• Camera: used for barcode scanning and item photos
• Photo Library: used to select item photos
• Notifications: used for local expiry reminders
• Tracking Permission on iOS: requested only if needed for personalized advertising

Children's privacy

The app is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Data deletion

Because pantry data is stored locally, you can remove it by deleting items inside the app, clearing app data through device settings, or uninstalling the app.
